We at Peacesake are dedicated to preserving our planet and believe that recycling is a powerful way to make a difference. Our commitment to reducing landfill waste drives us to recycle used candle containers and packaging at our warehouse. We invite you to join us in our efforts and be a part of our mission.

By recycling, you not only contribute to a cleaner planet but also extend the life cycle of these materials. Together, we can make a positive impact on our planet, one candle at a time.

What can I recycle?

• Glass candle vessel
• Room & Linen Spray glass bottles and spray tops
• Candle box
• Shipping box

    Which of your products are biodegradable?

    • Shipping peanuts: You can dissolve all of the shipping peanuts you received with your order in warm water. They will dissolve instantly and can be poured out into your lawn, garden, or even added to your compost pile.
    • Shipping boxes: Our shipping boxes are biodegradable. We encourage you to reuse and recycle them, however you can cut them into parts, wet them, and place them into to your compost pile, use as a weed barrier, etc and they will degrade within 3-4 months. 
    • Post cards.

      Mail back used candle containers:

      We always encourage local recycling, upcycling, and repurposing. However, if you’d like to mail back your used container instead, we will accept them. If so, we encourage you to save and reuse the original packaging and shipping materials you received your products in and we will accept them too. We will also give you a $1 off your next purchase for each package you ship in*.

      Recycling drop off:

      If you are local and live in the DC, Maryland, and VA area, you can drop off your used candle containers, boxes, and packing peanuts at our warehouse. For your recycling efforts, we will also give you $1 off your next purchase*
